			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>A few weeks ago, I covered <a title="zombcon" href="http://www.zombcon.com/" target="_blank">ZomBcon 2010</a> &#8211; the world&#8217;s first convention dedicated to zombies. Working with <a title="Genevieve Alvarez" href="http://www.genevievealvarez.com/" target="_blank">Genevieve Alvarez</a>, we decided that I would shoot portraits and she would put together a video to accompany them. We set up a black background in a quiet corner of the convention, then sought out costumed attendees. The crowd did not disappoint. We also were able to shoot interviews with Bruce Campbell and George Romero. 			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>This year, I covered several local teams as they tried to pursue the state&#8217;s biggest prize in high school basketball. Two teams went all the way: Squalicum boys and Lynden girls. Both state trophies ended up here in Whatcom County. It was amazing to be a part of the journey. Everyone was so kind to me, I&#8217;m really thankful I was able to follow these teams.</p>
